Der japanische Kühler-Spezialist Scythe veröffentlicht mit dem Iori ein kompaktes Top-Flow-Modell, das sich ideal für den Einsatz in Mini- und Micro-ATX-Systemen eignet. Dabei spielt es keine Rolle, ob Nutzer auf Prozessoren von AMD® oder Intel® setzen, denn dank der überarbeiteten Version des Push-Pin-Klemmensystems lässt sich der Kühler ohne große Umstände auf jedem Mainboard befestigen.

Scythe reacts to the trend and offers a compact Top-Flow CPU Cooler, which is especially developed for Mini- and Micro-ATX systems. Iori supports the latest platforms of both AMD® and Intel®. But it gets even better: Thanks to the low-weight of the heatsink, an improved version of the Push-Pin mounting mechanism has been used, allowing fast heatsink mounting on virtually every motherboard.
Trotz seiner kompakten Abmessungen, die lediglich 107 x 92 x 136 mm (B x H x T) betragen, sowie des geringen Gewichtes von gerade einmal 400 Gramm (ohne Lüfter), schafft es der Scythe Iori alle aktuellen Intel®- und AMD®-Prozessoren zu kühlen. Dafür sorgen nicht nur die drei 6 Millimeter dicken Kupfer-Heatpipes, die den Aluminium-Kühlkörper zweimal durchqueren, sondern auch der eigens entwickelte PWM-Lüfter. Das 100-Millimeter große Modell, dessen Drehzahl automatisch über die PWM-Funktion des Mainboards geregelt wird, besitzt zur besseren Kompatibilität 92-mm-Montagelöcher. Der Drehzahlbereich variiert, je nach CPU-Temperatur, zwischen 300 und 1.800 Umdrehungen pro Minute. Auch beim Luftdurchsatz muss sich der 100-Millimeter-Lüfter nicht hinter größeren Modellen verstecken, denn dieser fördert 7,3 bis 43,74 Kubikmeter pro Stunde, bei einer Lautstärke von lediglich 4,5 bis 26,7 dBA.
Aufgrund seiner positiven Eigenschaften eignet sich der Iori ideal für kleine Gaming-Systeme und HTPCs, bei denen keine hohen CPU-Kühler verbaut werden können. Doch der Top-Flow-CPU-Kühler besitzt noch einen weiteren Vorteil: Die kalte Luft, die der 100-Millimeter-Lüfter ansaugt, wird durch die Aluminium-Kühlkörperlamellen auch an die umliegenden Komponenten weitergegeben, sodass auch der Chipsatz sowie die Spannungswandler davon profitieren.
Der Scythe Iori ist mit den folgenden Intel®-Mainboards kompatibel: LGA775, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156 sowie LGA 1366. Selbstverständlich lässt sich der Top-Flow-Kühler auch auf allen aktuellen AMD®-Sockeln installieren: Dazu zählen AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1 und FM2. Wie es bei Scythe üblich ist, liefert das Unternehmen jegliches Zubehör zur Kühler-Befestigung gleich mit. So befinden sich im Lieferumfang des Iori die benötigten Befestigungsklammern, die Montageschiene für den Kühler, etwas Wärmeleitpaste sowie die Einbauanleitung.
Der Scythe Iori mit der Modell-Nr. SCIOR-1000 ist ab sofort im Fachhandel erhältlich. Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung liegt bei 25,95 € (inkl. 19% MwSt.).

In spite of its compact dimensions of 107 x 92 x 136 mm and its low heatsink weight of only 400 grams, Scythe Iori is able to cool latest CPUs from both Intel® and AMD®. Scythe achieved this by utilizing three 6 mm copper-heatpipes, which are crossing the heatsink twice, and the use of a custom-made PWM axial-fan. Fan speed of the supplied 100-millimeter model can be controlled by the motherboard thanks to the PWM-function between 300 and 1.800 RPM. Hence allows the fan to move between 7,3 and 43,74 cubic feet per minute (12,4 ~ 74,3m³/h) at a low noise level between 4,5 and 26,7 dBA. The custom-made axial-fan is equipped with common 92 mm mounting holes.
The fact, that the Iori CPU Cooler is a compact and low-weight solution with a really convenient mounting system, makes it a perfect CPU Cooler for both Gaming and Home-Theatre-PCs. Being a Top-Flow Cooler, Scythe Iori is able to use the airflow of the 100-millimeter fan to additionally cool surrounding components such as chipset, memory and voltage regulator modules.
Compatibility to a big variety of sockets has always been a strong point of Scythe CPU Coolers. The Iori CPU Cooler supports the Intel® sockets LGA1150, LGA1155, LGA1156, LGA1366 and LGA775 as well as AMD® sockets AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 and FM2+. All required mounting clips, as well as the user manual and thermal grease are supplied in the Iori package.
