3. Januar 2023, (LAS VEGAS) HYTE, die PC-Komponenten-, Peripherie- und Lifestyle-Marke von iBUYPOWER, hat heute das neue Y40 Mid-Tower-Gehäuse vorgestellt. Y40 ist das zweite Gehäuse von HYTE, das sich von den Industriestandards abhebt, indem es die Ecksäule entfernt und eine komplett freie Sicht auf das Innere des Gehäuses bietet.

Y40 is HYTE’s second case to defy industry standards by removing the corner pillar and providing a completely unobstructed view of the inside of the case.
Das HYTE Y40 setzt die Design-ID seines Vorgängers, des Y60, fort und setzt auf ein zweiteiliges Panorama-Glasdesign für eine klare Sicht auf das System, jedoch in einer eher traditionellen PC-Gehäuseform. Das Seitenteil aus gehärtetem Glas lässt sich über eine werkzeuglose Lasche an der Rückseite leicht entfernen, während das Frontpanel eine stationäre Rolle einnimmt. Die Tower-Form des Y40 wird den Verbrauchern vertraut vorkommen, bleibt aber sowohl in Bezug auf die Funktionen als auch die Architektur einzigartig.
Jedes Y40 ist mit einem PCIE 4.0-Riser-Kabel für die exklusive vertikale Montage von Grafikkarten ausgestattet und bietet erweiterte Kompatibilität für bis zu 422 mm x 94 mm große Karten mit vier Steckplätzen. Hinter der Grafikkarte bietet das Y40 Platz für bis zu sechs halbhohe Erweiterungskarten.
Mit zwei vorinstallierten 120-mm-Lüftern, von denen einer an der Rückseite für die Abluft und einer unter der Netzteilabdeckung für die Frischluftzufuhr zur Grafikkarte montiert ist, nimmt das HYTE Y40 einen ähnlichen Luftstromweg wie das Y60. Ein Hohlraum unter der Netzteilabdeckung ist mit HYTEs neuem „Kabelregal“ ausgestattet, um die Thermik des Systems weiter zu unterstützen. Dadurch ist es möglich das Kabelmanagement weiter hinten im Gehäuse, entfernt von den Luftstromzonen und damit ohne Beeinträchtigung der Grafikkartenkühlung zu halten.
Das Y40 unterstützt bis zu 280 mm All-in-One-Wasserkühler (AIO) an der Seite und bis zu 360 mm AIO-Radiatoren an der Oberseite. Auf der Vorderseite des Y40 befinden sich ein quadratischer Power-Button, zwei USB-Typ-A-Anschlüsse, ein USB-Typ-C-Anschluss und eine 3,5-mm-Kombibuchse für einfache Zugänglichkeit und Konnektivität. Das Y40 wird in drei Farbvarianten erhältlich sein: schwarz mit schwarzem Innenleben, weiß mit schwarzem Innenleben und rot mit schwarzem Innenleben.
Das Y40 wird während der CES 2023 auf dem iBUYPOWER- und HYTE-Stand im Titian 2306 im Venetian zu sehen sein.

Continuing the design ID of its predecessor, the Y60, the HYTE Y40 will feature a two-piece panoramic tempered glass design for a clear view of the system, but in a more traditional PC case shape. The tempered glass side panel can easily be removed via a now tool-less tab located at the back of the panel while the front piece takes on a more stationary role. The tower form of Y40 will feel familiar to consumers yet, remains unique in both feature set and architecture.
Each Y40 comes equipped with an included PCIE 4.0 riser cable for exclusive vertical graphics card (GPU) mounting and expanded compatibility for up to a 422mm x 94mm, four-slot card. Behind the GPU, Y40 hosts space for up to six half height expansion cards.
With two pre-installed 120mm fans, one in the rear for exhaust and one mounted below the PSU shroud to supply fresh air to the GPU, HYTE Y40 takes on a similar airflow path as the Y60. To further assist with system thermals, the cavity under the PSU shroud features HYTE’s new cable „shelf“ which allows cable management to sit further back within the case and away from airflow zones that may impact GPU cooling.
Y40 will provide support for up to a 280mm all-in-one (AIO) liquid cooler mounted to the side and up to a 360mm AIO mounted on the top. The front IO of Y40 features a square power button, two USB Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm combo jack for easy accessibility and connectivity. Y40 will be available in three color ways, black with a black interior, white with a black interior and red with a black interior.
Y40 will be on display during CES 2023 at the iBUYPOWER and HYTE exhibit located in Titian 2306 at the Venetian.
