Der japanische Kühlerspezialist Scythe kündigt heute eine neue Dockingstation für Festplatten an. Das Produkt ist unter dem Namen „Kama Dock“ ab sofort erhältlich und richtet sich an Benutzer, die bspw. ihre Daten sichern müssen und Festplatten unkompliziert an den Computer anschließen möchten.
Japanese cooling expert Scythe is hereby announcing a new Docking Station for Hard Drives. Scythe Kama Dock is available as of today and aims for users who are making backups frequently and wish to connect Hard Drives to their Computer without hassle.
Kama Dock unterstützt gängige Festplatten in den Baugrößen 3,5 Zoll (8,89 cm) und 2,5 Zoll (6,35 cm). Es besteht ebenso die Möglichkeit 2,5 Zoll (6,35 cm) große Solid State Drives (SSD) anzuschließen. Für die Anbindung der Festplatte bzw. SSDs wird die weit verbreitete SATA-Schnittstelle vorausgesetzt. Die super schnelle Datenübertragung zwischen Kama Dock und dem PC wird über die neue USB 3.0-Schnittstelle abgewickelt, die ebenfalls zum langsameren USB 2.0 und 1.1 abwärts kompatibel ist. Im angeschlossenen Zustand kann die Festplatte entweder liegend benutzt werden oder in drei Schritten angehoben werden.
Zu den kompatiblen Betriebssystemen zählen Microsoft® Windows ® XP, Windows ® VISTA, Windows ® 7 und Apple® MacOS® 10.2+. Bei diesen Betriebssystemen kann Scythe Kama Dock ohne die Installation von zusätzlichen Treibern sofort benutzt werden. Im Lieferumfang befindet sich neben einer Installationsanleitung, ein USB 3.0-Kabel sowie ein Netzadapter.
Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung für Scythe Kama Dock liegt bei 27,95 EUR inklusive 19% Mehrwertsteuer.

Users are able to mount their HDDs or SSDs in normal horizontal direction or raise it to three further uplifted positions.
Kama Dock is compatible to many operating systems such as Microsoft® Windows ® XP, Windows ® VISTA, Windows ® 7 and Apple® MacOS® 10.2+. These operating systems will detect Kama Dock immediately and do not require any additional drivers which allows users to utilize Kama Dock right away.
