Im Gegensatz zu der bereits angekündigten normalen Version werden die dedizierten Modelle nur mit AMD™- bzw. Intel™-Befestigungsklemmen ausgeliefert. Die Befestigung auf den Sockeln LGA775, 1150, 1155, 1156 und 1366 verläuft besonders einfach, da hier die Push-Pins-Klemmen zum Einsatz kommen. Trotz des geringen Kühlkörpergewichts von nur 416 Gramm, hält Scythe an seinen hohen Qualitätsstandards und Leistungsanforderungen fest.
11.09.2014, Oststeinbek (Germany) – Japanese cooling expert Scythe ads two new versions of Tatsumi CPU cooler to its portfolio. The most significant difference to the original version of the Tatsumi is that the “Type A” version comes only with the mounting clips for AMD based sockets and “Type I” with clips for Intel sockets. Mounting process for the sockets LGA775, 1150, 1155, 1156 and 1366 is now as simple as it gets thanks to the use of Push-Pins mounting clips. Both new versions of the Tatsumi offer great cooling performance for latest AMD™ and Intel™ processors at an affordable price.
Verbraucher müssen vor dem Kauf nur darauf achten, dass Sie für AMD™-Sockel-basierte Systeme den Tatsumi „Type A“- und für Intel™-basierten Systeme die „Type I“-Ausführung verwenden, damit auch die passenden Befestigungsklemmen im Lieferumgang enthalten sind. Auch die in Schwarz-Weiß gehaltene Verpackung der beiden neuen Variantenunterscheidet sich stark von der normalen Tatsumi-Version und ist je nach Ausführung entsprechend gekennzeichnet.
Gleich bleibt natürlich die Tatsache, dass auch die neuen CPU-Kühler-Varianten überdurchschnittliche Kühlleistung für alle aktuell erhältlichen Prozessoren bieten. Damit erreicht der japanische Spezialist einen hervorragenden Mix aus Qualität, Preis und Leistung. Der nur 360 Gramm schwere Kühlkörper misst lediglich 102 x 146 x 83 mm (B x H x T). Damit die Wärme des Prozessors schnell und effizient abgeführt werden kann, setzt Scythe auf eine groß dimensionierte, vernickelte Bodenplatte aus Kupfer, die auf dem Heatspreader der CPU perfekt aufliegt. Diese sorgt dafür, dass die anfallende Hitze über drei U-förmig angeordneten Kupfer-Heatpipes an die Aluminiumlamellen weitergeleitet wird. Der vorinstallierte 92-Millimeter-Lüfter aus der Slip Stream-Serie, rotiert dank der PWM-Unterstützung variabel im Drehzahlbereich zwischen 300 und 2.500 Umdrehungen pro Minute. So erzielt das Modell eine Förderleistung von 11,4 bis 94,3 Kubikmeter pro Stunde bei kaum hörbaren 7,2 bis 31,07 dBA. Auch die bewährte M.A.P.S.-Lamellenstruktur (Multiple Airflow Pass-Through Structure) kommt bei den beiden neuen Modellen zum Einsatz. Durch die spezielle Anordnung der Kühllamellen wird der Luftdurchfluss innerhalb des Lamellenblocks optimiert, wodurch die Kühlleistung ansteigt.
Scythe Tatsumi „Type I“ ist mit den Intel™-Sockeln LGA775, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156 und LGA 1366. Die „Type A“-Variante unterstützt dagegen die gängigen AMD™-Sockel AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1, FM2 und FM2+. Beim „Type I“-Modell sind die Montageklemmen bereits vormontiert, was den Einbauprozess nochmals verkürzt. Im Lieferumfang enthalten ist neben den Montageklemmen auch die Wärmeleitpaste.
Beide neuen Varianten des Scythe Tatsumi CPU-Kühlers sind ab sofort im europäischen Fachhandel erhältlich. Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung des Herstellers liegt bei 19,95 EUR (inkl. 19% MwSt.).

The black and white package differs from the original version, indicating weather it is an AMD™ or Intel™ version, in order to avoid mix-ups. Users with AMD socket based systems need to choose the “Type A” model and “Type I” for Intel socket based systems, to make sure that all required mounting clips are in the product package.
In spite of its low weight of only 416 grams (14,67 oz, Type B, incl. fan) and compact dimensions 102 x 146 x 59 mm (4,01 x 5,78 x 2,32 inch, incl. fan), great performance above the market average is provided. Tatsumi CPU Cooler achieves efficient heat dissipation thanks to the utilization of latest technology developed by Scythe over a time period of more than a decade. The large nickel-plated copper-baseplate matches the CPU heat-spreader perfectly and transfers the heat to the three U-shaped 6 mm copper heatpipes. Heat is being passed on to the aluminum fin structure on top, where a 92 mm case fan provides the perfect airflow to dissipate the heat. Attached Slip Stream 92 mm fan rotates in a range between 300 and 2.500 RPM thanks to PWM control and moves between 11,4 and 94,3 cubic meter per hour (6,70 to 55,55 CFM) at merely audible 7,2 to 31,07 dBA. Scythe equipped the Tatsumi heatsink with the Multiple Airflow Pass-Through Structure (M.A.P.S.) technology to further increase the performance and to reduce air turbulences.
The Tatsumi “Type I” CPU cooler supports Intel™ motherboard sockets, such as the LGA775, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156 and LGA 1366. “Type A” version is compatible to latest AMD™ sockets, including AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+, FM1 and FM2. In case of the „Type I“ model, overall mounting time is shorter thanks to the fact that the mounting clips are already attached to the heatsink. Scythe supplies thermal grease in the package of both of the new Tatsumi models, as well as the required mounting clips.
Scythe Tatsumi “Type A” and “Type I” are available as of today. Suggested retail price is set at 17,00 EUR (excl. Taxes) for both models.
