Taipei, 15. Januar 2013 – Aerocool, bereits seit Jahren bekannt für hochwertige Gehäuse und Computer Peripherie, kündigt heute den Start seiner neuen GT-Netzteilserie an. Dieser Name stammt vom italienischen „Gran Turismo“, welches luxuriöse Langstreckenfahrzeuge bezeichnet. Ausgerichtet an Gamer und Enthusiasten bieten auch die neuen Netzteile ein auffälliges Äußeres und nutzen aktuelle Technologien, um eine stabile, ununterbrochene Stromversorgung zu gewährleisten. Gleichzeitig sorgt ein großer Lüfter dafür, dass die acht neuen Modelle mit einer Leistung von 500 bis 1.050 Watt auch bei voller Auslastung ruhig agieren können.
Taiwan based manufacturer Aerocool is announcing the new addition to its product portfolio. Brand new GT series aims for ambitious gamers and enthusiasts, coming with total of eight different models starting with 500 Watts and ending with 1.050 Watts. The acronym “GT” is coming from the Italian words „Gran Turismo“, which stand for high-performance luxurious racing cars, built for long distance racing. Aerocool engineers took the challenge seriously both for designing the exterior as well as the interior.
Je nach Ausführung wurden die Netzteile der GT-Serie mit einer 80 PLUS Bronze oder 80 PLUS Gold Zertifizierung versehen, was bei 50% Auslastung des Netzteils eine Effizienz von mindestens 85% respektive 90% garantiert. Erreicht wird das durch eine Kombination aus zwei VRM-Modulen, die im Gegensatz zur klassischen Lösung mit einer Spule deutlich effizienter arbeitet. So kommt es auch, dass man auf den beiden 12 Volt Rails eine maximale Spannungsabweichung von 3% erreicht, was deutlich unter der Intel Spezifikation von 5% liegt.
Das Äußere ist voll und ganz darauf ausgelegt, die Blicke von Neugierigen auf sich zu ziehen. So sind die günstigen Einstiegs-Modelle mit 80 PLUS Bronze Zertifizierung in Schwarz/Rot erhältlich, während die 80 PLUS Gold Modelle mit einer Schwarz-Weißen-Lackierung ebenfalls auffallen dürften. Zusätzlich wurden die Gehäuse abgerundet und mit einem Mesh-Gitter versehen, um dem langweiligen kantigen Einheitslook Einhalt zu gewähren.
In allen neuen Netzteilen finden sich weiße Lüfter mit einer Größe von 13,9 Zentimetern, die das Aussehen weiter aufpolieren. Durch die Größe und die intelligente Fan Speed Control-Funktion agiert der Lüfter zu jeder Zeit flüsterleise und wird in Abhängigkeit von der aktuellen Auslastung des Netzteils geregelt. Dank einer Lebenserwartung von bis zu 120.000 Stunden ist auch hier sichergestellt, dass ununterbrochene Gaming-Sessions kein Problem für das Netzteil darstellen.
Um allen Ansprüchen gerecht zu werden sind die GT-Netzteile sowohl mit einem festen Kabelstrang als auch mit modularen Kabeln erhältlich, was an dem Namenszusatz „S“ zu erkennen ist. Weiterhin unterstützen alle GT-Netzteile den ATX12V 2.3 und EPS12V 2.92 Standard und bieten zahlreiche Anschlussmöglichkeiten für alle benötigten Komponenten. Auch anspruchsvolle Gaming-Systeme mit SLI oder CrossFireX Gespannen können problemlos betrieben werden. Im Falle der modularen „S“-Variante sind diese zusätzlich als schwarze, Flachkabel ausgeführt, um das Kabelmanagement im Gehäuse zu erleichtern und das Design nochmals zu verbessern. Bei allen anderen Netzteilen sind die Kabel mit Mesh Sleeves überzogen, um einen optimalen Airflow zu garantieren.
Eine geringe Leistungsaufnahme im Standby-Modus gemäß der ErP Direction 2013 sowie zahlreiche Schutzmechanischen wie OCP, OVP, OPP, OTP, UVP, SCP und SIP runden das Gesamtpaket gekonnt ab. Das gesamte Portfolio ist in drei Gruppen unterteilt und umfasst die GT-500 und GT-700 Netzteile mit festen Kabeln, rotem Lack und 80 PLUS Bronze Zertifizierung, die GT-500S, GT-700S und GT-1050S Netzteile mit modularen Kabeln, 80 PLUS Bronze und rotem Lack sowie die High End Modelle GT-500SG, GT-700SG und GT-1050SG mit modularen Kabeln, 80 PLUS Gold und weißem Lack. New GT Series is split in two different model-ranges where one is certified with 80PLUS Bronze and the other with 80 PLUS Gold! Hence assures an efficiency of at least 85% respectively 90%. Aerocool achieved this by using two VRM modules, which are using one choke contrary to commonly used designs. This allows the two 12 Volts rails to have a maximum voltage deviation of only 3%, which is lower compared to the required 5% by Intel’s® specifications. Aerocool aims to deliver high efficiency and stability especially during long load sessions with its new GT PSU Series.
Aerocool GT power supplies exterior catches attention due to the fresh and stylish design. Entry-level models with 80PLUS Bronze specification are using black and red color matching. High-end models with 80PLUS Gold specification can be identified by the black and white color finish. In addition, the whole chassis was refined by round shape alongside with a mesh-grid to deliver an outstanding design far from standardon-market power supply units.
All GT PSUs are equipped with a white 13,9 centimeter fan to further unify the design. Thanks to the big size of the built-in fan and the intelligent fan controller, the GT power supply units are ableto operate very silently at all time and adjust fan speed according to the actual load. MTBF of the Aerocool GT power supply units is stated with 120.000 hours to assure long and uninterrupted gaming sessions.
To further comply with every users requirement, GT PSU series are available as a standard version with attached connection cables as well as a smart modular cable version for more convenient cable management inside the PC chassis. Versions with the smart modular cables can be identified by the letter “S” in the model name. In addition all GT PSU support both the ATX12V 2.3 as well as the EPS12V 2.92 standards and offer enough connectors for the required PC components. Furthermore SLI and CrossFireX are supported, allowing enthusiasts and gamers to build even more powerful systems. In the case of the smart modular cables version (“S” models) black colored flat cables are being used, allowing easier cable management. Other models are utilizing cables covered with mesh sleeves to assure a better airflow inside the chassis.
Another highlight is the low power consumption in standby mode thanks to the compliance to ErP Direction 2013.
